Dorothy M. Pierce Loving mother, grandmother and sister Age 80, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 09, 2002 at St. Joseph?s Hospital in Elmira, NY.Dorothy is survived by: sons; Allan Charles (Mayette) Pierce Jr. of Williamsport, PA and Robert (Sharon) Pierce of Elmira, NY, daughter; Sheila Hughey of Painted Post, NY, 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, ?daughter?-in-law; Franceanne (Tim) White of Ithaca, NY, sisters; Thelma Northcut of Marian, AK and Genevieve R. Davis of Elmira, NY and sisters-in-law; Lena Davis of Elmira, NY and Ruth Davis of Mt. Pleasant, PA.Dorothy was an active member of the Elmira Wesleyan Church where she enjoyed participating in many activities.She was also a member of TOPS and the Dixie Senior Bowling League.Dorothy had many interests and hobbies.Her favorites were shopping with her sister and making crafts of all kinds.Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday, February 12, 2002 at 11am in the Elmira Wesleyan Church.The Rev. Edward Crandall will officiate.Interment will follow at the convenience of the family in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be directed to the Elmira Wesleyan Church 1100 S.
