Dorothy Jeanne Owen Was born September 13, 1950 in Elmira, NY, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the age of 69. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanne (Shedder) Updyke and father, Harry Updyke. She is survived by her husband, Joseph P. Nimec; children: daughter, Joanne Nimec and son, Don Moss Jr.; grandchildren: Tyler, Jacob and Amelia; brother Fred Owen; sister Louise (Dale) Zabel; along with many nieces and nephews. Dorothy enjoyed family get togethers and picnics. She was known as being a wonderful cook. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service honoring her life on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 2:00 pm in Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church 2872 Westinghouse Road, Horseheads, NY 14845.
