Dorothy J. Drake (Jean)

Dorothy J. Drake (Jean) Age 90 of Elmira, NY, passed away on January 5, 2018 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility in Elmira. She was born July 25, 1927 to Dorothy N. & Walter Job. She married Francis R. Drake on May 24, 1947, who preceded her in death on April 30, 1988. She was also predeceased by her brother, William, in 1935 & her sister, Mary Lou, in 1953. She is survived by her six children: Deborah (David) Lintal of Boalsburg, PA, Barbara J. Drake of Macedon, NY, William (Mary) Drake of Elmira, NY, Edward (Paula) Drake of Elmira, NY, Pamela Cox (George Barry) of Venice, FL, & Scott(Karry) Drake of Corning, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Marc (Gina) Lintal, Matt (Jackie) Lintal, Janelle (Mark) Popovich, Nicole (Brandon) Drake, Jay (Jill) Drake, Cortney (Steve) Haven, Michael (Tori) Drake, Daniel Cox, Melanie Cox, & Katelyn Drake; great grandchildren: Hayden, Ryleigh, Brady & Sydney Lintal, Alaina & Lucy Popovich, Nolan Clark, Stephen & Christian Haven, Julie, Graham, Kayla, Kellen, Khloe & Keenan Drake. Jean was a member of St. Peter & Paul's Catholic Church. She worked as a matron at the Chemung County Sheriff's Office. The family would like to thank all of Jean's wonderful caregivers at Woodbrook Assisted Living & the Chemung County Nursin Facility. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, or the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Arrangements have been entrusted to Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave, Elmira, NY. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 8, from 11AM-1PM. Funeral Services celebrating Dorothy's life will be held at the conclusion of the calling hours at 1PM. Burial will be held at the convinience of the family in the St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
