GUTHRIE, Donald L. Of Valois, NY Died Tuesday, April 17, 2001 of heart failure at his Valois, New York home. He was born January 15, 1929 in Elmira, son of Jesse and Grace Hemenway Guthrie. He married Sally Record Guthrie in 1950.He is survived by five children and two grandchildren:Daughter Jessica Guthrie of Ovid, Sons Ben (Janice) Guthrie of Covert, Dan Guthrie of Burdett, Don (Karen) Guthrie of Culver City, CA, and Daughter Mary Scott McCurdy (Eric) of Trumansburg, Granddaughters, Georgia and Hannah Guthrie of Covert, Brother Richard (Irene) Guthrie, his Aunt Helen Fervan of Elmira, two Nieces Donna Guthrie of Trumansburg and Carol (Joe) Zimmerman of Fishers, and four great nieces and one great nephew.Calling hours will be at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, from 2-5 PM on Friday, April 20, 2001 with funeral services immediately following the calling hours at 5PM.Reverend Howard L. Hunt will officiate.Interment will be in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park.Flowers could be sent to the funeral home or donations may be made to the Schuyler County Historical Society, 108 N.
