Dolores Ann Searcy

Searcy, Dolores Ann, age 84 of Elmira, NY, passed away peacefully at Elderwood Nursing Home in Waverly, NY on Tuesday,August, 28, 2018. Dolores was born in Williamsport, PA to the late Valentine and Florence Blitz. In addition to her parents, Dolores was pre-deceased in death by her husband, Gilbert Searcy and brother, Paul Blitz. She is survived by her son, Gary (Terrie) Searcy of Sayre, PA; sister, Mary Jackson of Elmira, NY; brothers, Robert Blitz of California; Carl Blitz of Michigan; grandchildren, Jennifer (Eric) Skidmore of Elmira, NY; Brandon Searcy of Sayre, PA; and Kayla Searcy of Athens, PA; 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and special goddaughter, Beth Lukeman of Elmira Heights, NY. Dolores was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and godmother, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Ave in Elmira/Southport, NY on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 11am-12pm, followed by a Catholic Funeral at 12pm. Internment will follow in the Bath National Cemetery in Bath, NY. Dolores' family and goddaughter would like to thank the 3rd floor staff at Elderwood at Waverly for all their love and care.
