Dolores H. Polovick

Dolores Helen Polovick Born March 31, 1926 in Scranton, PA, the daughter of the late George H. and Helen E. (Barber) Ellison, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 27, 2017 in Truxton, NY. She has gone to join her husband of 64 years, Stephen Polovick Jr. Her brothers, Fred and John Ellison also preceded her in death. She is survived by her sons: Kevin (Linda) Polovick, Stephan (Debbie) Polovick and Douglas (Robin) Polovick; daughter: Beth (John) Hill; along with 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. For many years Dolores loved making wedding cakes for her family and relatives. She enjoyed the home bureau, helping the Oakwood United Methodist Church for 50 + years, enjoyed the Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and the Mr. & Mrs. Club. The family will welcome relatives and friends at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira/Southport, NY on Monday, July 31, 2107 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral Services honoring her life will follow the visitation at 1 pm. The Reverend Patrick Holder will officiate. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Jerusalem Hill. Flowers are welcomed and memorial donations in memory of her beloved husband, Stephen, may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620.
