Age 77, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2002 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born June 9, 1925 in Elmira, the son of the late Frank and Lillian (Carey) Allen. Surviving Delton, is his loving wife of 52 years, Mary; beloved children, Tom Allen of Lawrenceville, PA; David Allen of Melissa, TX; Kathleen (Sean) Joyce of Chemung, NY; James (Michelle) Allen of Lawrenceville, PA; grandchildren, Jeff and Joshua Allen, sons of Tom; Darcy and Thomas Joyce; along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his half brothers, Frank Allen Jr. and John Allen. Mr. Allen was a machinist for the following companies: Sperry-Rand, American LaFrance and finally Kennedy Valve where he retired after several years of faithful service. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving his country from 1950-1953 as an Air Force pilot. He enjoyed flying and was a private pilot. Funeral Services will be held there Friday at 11:00 AM. Deacon Ray Defendorf will officiate. Interment will follow in the Jacob Miller Cemetery Millerton, PA.
