Dawn M. Shanks

ELMIRA - Dawn M. Shanks, 80, of Elmira, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, February 11, 2022. Born on September 21, 1941 in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of the late Peter A. and Winifred I. (Hilboldt) Lemoncelli. For many years, she worked for Elmira Rug and she later retired from Cameron Manufacturing & Design in Horseheads. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her life companion, W. Larry Shanks; her aunt, Betty L. Root; and her son-in-law, Jamey J. Tatman. She is survived by her daughters, Janelle (Lloyd) Campbell of Apalachin, Shelly (Tom) Barcomb of Elmira, Jill (Craig) Dickey of Fort Worth, TX, Amy ( Jerry) Tatman of Fort Worth, TX; her step-son, Calvin (Samantha) Shanks of New Bern, NC; her grandchildren, Bryan (Ashley) Wilkinson, Courtney (Ryan) Sullivan, Alex Lipke, Troy (Carolanne) Barcomb, Skyler (Christian) Cato, Summer Tatman; great- grandchildren, Mia, Jordan, Zayne and Zoey Wilkinson, Kadence, Veronica, Gwendolyn and Isla Sullivan, Owen Barcomb, and Lakelyn Cato due in March 2022; brother Richard (Marilyn) Lemoncelli; her in-laws, George (Bonnie) Shanks, Sherry Parsons.
