David Millard Redfield Age 72 of Erin, NY, passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. David was born on September, 16, 1949 in Elmira, NY, the son of the late Millard and Marrion (Yesely) Redfield. He was a member of Elmira Heights Rotary Club, having been the club secretary from 1993-1996, club president from 1989 to 1990, and received the Paul Harris Fellow Award for outstanding service to his community, in 1996. He graduated from E.F.A. High School in 1967. He attended Corning Community College and graduated with an Associates Degree in 1969. David then attend SUNY Buffalo and graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. He received a Master's Degree from Elmira College and then went on to Syracuse Universityand graduated with MBA Degree. He retired from Edger's Enterprise after 19 years of service as an estimator/draftsman. David was a private consultant designer/draftsman for Redfield Drafting, an estimating/contractor sales for Robinson Building Materials, and a facilities manager at S.F. Iszard Company. After college, David joined the U.S. Naval Reserve as a first class petty officer, on August 3, 1976 and served until his discharge onAugust 2, 1982. David is survived by his loving, devoted wife, Margaret Mary Redfield; daughter, Theresa (Philbin) (Jason) Oaks; sons, Frederick Warrick, Bryan Warrick (Melissa Brewster), Thomas James (Emily) Warrick; grandchildren, Jaymee, Pacee, Kelsee, Rylee, and Jessee Warrick, Alexis Warrick, Tyler Warrick (Lindsey Hammond), Taylor Warrick, Miles Warrick, Abbey Vanderhoef, Emma Pack, Isabelle Pack, and Evelyn Bulow; great-granddaughter, Allison Grey Warrick,Ramia, and several other close family members and friends. Friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, Franklin Street, Elmira, NY. A Graveside Service will be held following the mass at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery, Elmira.
