David J. Peterson

David J. Peterson, age 67, of Lawrenceville, PA went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Wellsboro Hospital after a brief illness. He was a graduate of Williamson High School Class of 1972 and was an active member and Deacon at the East Lawrence Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, PA. David retired from Corning Incorporated in 2014 after 45 years of dedicated employment. David was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending most of his time with his family, his only grandson Henry, and his faithful dog Lady. David’s booming voice was no match for his beaming smile, goofball spirit, and hearty laugh. He will be sorely missed and remembered dearly. David is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kayla (Kipferl) Peterson; their two daughters, Chelsie (Devin) Lewis, Danville, PA and Sarah (Justin) Strozyk, Bloomsburg, PA; grandson Henry Lewis and another Lewis grandchild on the way; mothers-in-law, Ann Beardslee and Christiana Kipferl; brothers, Edward Ostrander; Marty Peterson; Douglas Peterson; Kenneth “Andy” Peterson (Tara Bittiker); a sister, Genie (Terry) Kingsley; brothers-in-law, Kevin (Brenda) Kipferl; Keith Kipferl; Kerry (Brenda) Kipferl; Kory (Carole) Kipferl; Kelly (Michelle) Kipferl; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth A. Peterson; his mother Rosemary (Cushman) Peterson; father-in-law, H. LaVerne Kipferl; brother, Raymond Ostrander; nephew, Christopher Rice; and, sister-in-law, Brenda (Kevin) Kipferl. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the East Lawrence Baptist Church, 1139 E Lawrence Rd, Lawrenceville, PA 16929. A private celebration of life for immediate family and close friends will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm.
