Dale E. Hoose

Dale E. Hoose, Age 62, of Elmira and formerly of Wellsburg, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Dale was born August 30, 1962 in Elmira, NY son of the late Elwin L. (Dutch) Hoose and Dawn E. (Sharp) Hoose. He was a graduate of Southside High School and worked as a General Contractor working in the local area. He also worked on his family farm assisting in the operation for many years.

Dale is survived by his mother Dawn E. (Sharp) Hoose, of Elmira, daughter, Jennifer Miller of Corning NY, granddaughters, Josey and Aubrey Miller also of Corning NY, son, Justin, a brother, Ken Hoose of Pine City, four sisters and brothers-in-law, Rochelle & Carl Bush of Breesport, NY, Sandy & Bill Ricks of Wellsburg, NY, Trish & Gerry Costa of Corning, NY, Sonya & Tom Beecher of Canandaigua, NY, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

A gathering will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM followed by a brief service at 2:30 PM at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, New York 14904.

Family would like to express a special Thank You to the nursing staff on 4D at Arnot Hospital for their excellent care during his final days.
