Age 81 of Elmira, NY passed away Thursday, December 5, 2002 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira. Surviving Curtis are his son; Curtis Roy (Linda) Hartman of Elmira; daughter; Dorene Hartman of Pine City, son; Kenneth D. (Becky) Hartman of Jacksonville, FL, son; James D. (Candace) Hartman of Central Square, NY, daughter; Holly (Damon) Cornish of Elmira, NY, 7 grandchildren; Jason, Gabe, Damon, Sarah, Desiree, Jessica, and Katy, 1 great grandchild; Kaitlyn, special cousins; Don C. Hartman of Elmira, LeRoy C. Hartman of Elmira, and several other cousins, nieces and nephews. Also survived by sister in-law; Margaret Dangler of Fairport, NY. He was predeceased by his wife Doris S. Hartman, cousins Harold and Evelyn Hartman. Curt worked for Bendix Corp. where he was a great engineer and inventor. He held patents on the fuel injection system still in use in many cars of today. Curt also worked at Thatcher Glass Manufacturing for many years where he developed systems and testing equipment among other things. He was a very proud Amateur Radio operator.
