Constance J. Jones

Constance Jean (Lowe) Jones, Age 77 of Painted Post, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024 at ELCOR Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Connie was born January 8, 1947 in Elmira, NY daughter of the late Wellington Jr. and Jean (Myers) Lowe. She was a graduate of Southside High School Class of 1965. She was married on July 23, 1966 to Edmund R. Jones. Connie was a dedicated employee for over 40 years at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center on the Labor & Delivery, OB and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. She was pre deceased by her parents,  two brothers, Ronald Lowe and Gerald Lowe.

Connie is survived by her husband of 58 years Edmund R. Jones, a son Richard Jones and his fiancée Nichole Rogers of Sayre, PA, a daughter, Kelly Bailey and her fiancée Michael Rumpff of Elmira, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Following retirement Connie and Ed enjoyed traveling, also she loved to knit and crochet. She was also a puzzler. Her love was her family, all of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren also she enjoyed watching horseracing in Canandaigua, New York.

The family would also like to express their sincere thanks to Elcor Nursing Facility for the care and compassion given to our mother and our family.

Donations in Connie’s memory can be made to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, 600 Roe Avenue, Elmira, NY 14905.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a determined time and place that will be announced by the family. Final arrangements are under the direction of the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY 14904.
