Conrad A. Schwenzer

Conrad A. “Speedy” Schwenzer, age 71, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 5, 2017 following a brief illness. He was born February 5, 1946 in Connecticut, the son of the late Ethel and Arthur Schwenzer. He is survived by a brother, Kenneth; sister-in-law, Martha; nieces, Susan (Mark), Erica (Robert); nephew, Steven (Carey) and their families. Speedy had many close friends, especially Ren Hofman and family. He was a graduate of New Haven College, worked at WENY, Teleprompter Cable Company, various other jobs and lastly, at Hofman’s. Speedy liked NASCAR, working on cars, and computers. He was also a big Star Trek fan. Calling hours will be held at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY on Thursday, August 10th from 5-7 PM with a memorial service to immediately follow. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
