Charlotte M. Richardson

Charlotte M. Richardson, a native of Angelica, NY and resident of Horseheads, NY, passed away on June 13, 2024. She was 86.

She worked as an upholsterer at Gunlocke, a furniture manufacturer in Wayland, NY, but she was an entertainer at heart. Whether she was singing, yodeling or playing (many) instruments, she was always the life of the party and in the middle of everything! She was very creative and enjoyed art and painting. But above all, she loved her family, and passed down her spirit and humor to each of them.

She was preceded in death by: parents Thomas and Edythe (Jones) Ralston; husband, Lynn Richardson; half- brothers Rex and Shirley Saxton; great-grandson Dylan J. Couch-Jochem; step-grandson-in-law Jason Tancer; and step-great-granddaughter Brooklynn Shoonmaker.

She is survived by: three children – Rickie Jochem, Tarry Jochem, and Randy Jochem and wife Vallerie; ten grandchildren – Richard Jochem and wife Brittany, Jodie Jochem and wife Samantha, Leslie Parker, Christopher Parker, Jeremy Parker, Shawn Smith and wife Bonnie, James Johnson and wife Kasey, Scott Reynolds and wife Courtney, Kimberly Armstrong, and Jessica Jochem; four step-grandchildren -  Jessica Figuried and husband Joshua, Erica Shoonmaker, Brandi Hoffman, and Amber Hoffman; 31 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and former spouse Charles H. Jochem.

Friends and family are invited to attend her graveside service on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Elmira, NY.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Olthof Funeral Home.
