Charles Stephen Edwards

Edwards, Charles Stephen Age 63, went home to be with the Lord Monday, December 31, 2001. He has pastored the South Creek Evangelical Free Church in Wellsburg, NY, since 1994. Steve was born January 4, 1938, in Mooresville, NC. He served in the Navy for four years. After graduating from Asbury College, he taught English for twenty-eight years at Windsor High School. His loving wife, Evelyn, survives him along with his five children from a previous marriage: John, James, Jason, Dorothy, and Delaine. He is also survived by all six of his siblings: Tommie Nell Cline, Carolyn Tolar, Shirlene Crouse, Loren Edwards, Olin Edwards, Jr., and Doris Freeze. He leaves behind nine grandchildren.Family and friends are invited to call at the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church, 1238 Pennsylvania Avenue, Pine City, NY on Thursday, Jan 3, 2001 from1:00PM?3:00PM and 5:00PM?7:00PM. Funeral and committal services will be shared at the conclusion of the calling hours at 7:00PM. The Reverend Donald Rockwell, Dr. Barry Liffiton, and Reverend Paul Meiners will officiate.Interment services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Triplett United Methodist Church Cemetery, Mooresville, NC.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Camp Hope (for mentally and physically challenged children), PO Box 670, Carmel, NY 10512; or South Creek Evangelical Free Church, 2655 S.
