Cenis Jones

Age 89, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2003 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira. He was born April 16, 1913 in Morris Run, PA the son of the late John & Alice Mae (Orton) Jones, Sr. Cenis was predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Lola B. Jones, on March 2, 2001. He was also predeceased by 2 brothers; Willard Jones and Roy Jones, and 1 sister; Emma Nash. Cenis is survived by his son; Alvin & Janice Jones of York, PA, daughter; Ardys & Michael Ross of Pine City, NY, grandchildren; Jeffrey Jones, Brandon (Tracy) Jones all of York, PA, Michael (Angela) Ross of Elmira, NY, Mark (Denise) Ross of Elmira, NY, Matthew Ross of Plattsburgh, NY, great grandchildren; Ashley Ross, Carly Ross and Jacob Ross, brothers; David (Elsie) Jones of Delhi, NY, Charles Jones of Millerton, PA, Raymond (Julie) Jones of Pine City, NY, John (Marilyn) Jones, Jr. of Millerton, PA, sister; Catherine (Lester) Genaway of Elmira, NY, several nieces and nephews. Cenis retired from American Bridge Works with over 40 years of dedicated service. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Sunday, February 2, 2003 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with funeral and committal there at 8:00 PM. The Reverend Howard L. Hunt will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Red Cross, 462 W.
