ELMIRA – Cathiejo Ann Mayer, 49, of Elmira, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.Born on August 21, 1971 in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert Mayer and the late Dawn (Smith) Dickinson. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Nancy Jean Mayer. She is survived by her partner, Gene Cardwell, Jr. of Elmira; her children, Brian Fulwood of Elmira, Robbie (Barbara) Barnes of Pine City, Charles Barnes of Rocky Point, NY, Demetrius Slover of Palm Harbor, FL, Dalton Dickinson (Shae Sulek) of Hendersonville, NC, Rikki-Jo Kolk (Brandon Ellis) of Corning; her granddaughters, Mia Dickinson, Elisabeth Fulwood; as well as many other grandchildren; her siblings; Robert Mayer, Jr. of CA, Timothy Mayer (Marsha Prentice) of Pine City, Walt Mayer (Peg O’Grady) of Texas, Bonnie Mayer of Odessa, NY, Alicia (James) Reedy of Elmira, Kim (Chad) Dailey of Elmira; her step father, Charles (Joyce) Dickinson of Poestenkill, NY;her aunt, Cathy (Keith) Moore of NC; her mother-in-law, Vicky Bryant of Elmira; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Cathiejo was a kind, loving person who would give anyone anything they needed if she was able. She loved to cook and bake.She enjoyed bowling, playing bingo, being out doors as well as spending time with family and friends.She treated all children in her life as they were her own.She was known for making jokes.If you had a bad day, she would find a way to make you feel better about any situation.
