Carl Francis Fowler

Fowler, Carl F. age 65, of Elmira, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 22, 2018 at his home. Carl was born in Elmira to the late Carl W. and Ann Marie (Bellizia) Fowler. In addition to his parents, Carl was also preceded by his brother, Carmen E. Fowler and his granddaughter Elexus Marie Sincock. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Michella Diane (Pike) Fowler, children Carl W. (Rebecca) Fowler, James (Mary) Fowler, Timothy (Jennifer) Fowler, Michael Fowler, Michella (James) Sincock, Joseph (Randi) Fowler, sister, Geraldine (Robert) Anarumo, 23 Grandchildren, along with several Nieces & Nephews. Carl worked as a service manager for Buckley's until 1989, when he became permanently disabled. Carl volunteered many hours at St. Anthony's Church. Carl loved hunting with his dad and children. Carl always had an open door policy for lending an ear to listen to anyone that needed a helping hand. He never turned anyone away. His open door policy allowed kids that had nowhere to go, feel welcome in his home and gave them a place to stay to get back on their feet, eventually becoming family members. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave, Elmira, NY 14904, on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 12 PM with a funeral service to follow at 1 PM. Burial will immediately follow in the St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Carl's honor to the Children's Miracle Network, 600 Roe Avenue, Elmira, NY 14905.
