Bonnalyn L. Burgett

Bonnalyn "Bonnie" L. Burgett, 98, of Elmira, passed away on October 26, 2023, at the Chemung County Nursing Facility.

Born on May 18, 1925, in Jasper, New York, she was the daughter of Clayton and Gladys (Zeh) Marlatt.

Bonnie was a graduate of Jasper Central High School, class of 1943.

She began working at Elmira City Schools as a Librarian Assistant in 1967, retiring in 1985.

She loved coaching the Cinderella Softball winning several Championship trophies, walking her dogs Nikki and Peebles, and spending time with her two grandsons.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter Kathy (Darrell) Stansfield, of Elmira, son Kem Burgett, of Elmira, two grandsons Jason and Greg Stansfield, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl, daughter Karen, sisters Joan Fici and Gwendolyn Snow, and brother Jack Marlatt.

The burial will be held at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
