Winner, B. Mae Age 89 of Elmira, NY passed into peaceful rest on October 15th, 2001 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center.She was a much loved and cherished wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.Mae is survived by: her loving husband of 62 years Paul W. Winner, daughter; Joann VanHoesen of Elmira, NY, daughter and son-in-law; Karen and Don Maus of Elmira, NY, sister; Helen M. Carson of Elmira, NY, grandchildren; Paula and Dr. Steve Ramsay, Sarah and Peter Fagan, and Rachel Maus, and 3 great-grandchildren.Mae was a long time member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Elmira.She was also a dedicated member of the Harmony Loyal Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, an organization to which she dedicated much of her time.Mae deeply loved her family members and cared for each and every one of them.Her family will always remember her for being very strong mentally and physically.Mae had many hobbies and interests.She loved history and will forever hold her favorite story, Gone With the Wind, close to her heart.Mae loved to be in her garden and enjoyed the natural beauty it brought into her life. She loved to travel and to explore new places.Mae was very proud of the woman she became.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Thursday, October 18th, 2001 from 2-4pm.The funeral and prayers of committal will immediately follow at 4pm.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one?s choice.A candle of memory may be lit in Mae?s honor at www.olthof.com.
