PAINTED POST - Benjamin James Renko, 24, of Painted Post, died unexpectedly on January 20, 2021.He was born on January 16, 1997 in Elmira, New York. Ben graduated from Corning-Painted Post High School in 2015. He joined the Navy in 2019 and was stationed in Norfolk, VA where he served on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. Shortly after he embarked on the Navy’s record setting 206 day deployment without port calls. Ben enjoyed fishing and boating on Keuka Lake and spending time with family and his closest friends. He was a devoted and loving uncle who always made the happiness of his nieces and nephews a priority. He was the most generous and caring person. He could make anyone laugh and his smile always lit up the room. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Ben is survived by his mother, Paula Graham; his father, Tom (Kim) Renko;his grandparents, Frank Renko and Sheila Graham; his siblings, Amber Renko, Zack Renko, Adam (Jessica) Graham and Jacob (Brittany) Renko; his seven nieces and nephews; as well as many Aunts and Uncles. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, James Graham and Janet Renko.
