She worked at the Robert Packer Hospital and held a job there for 25 years, loving every minute of the night shift. During these years, while raising her children, she also cared for numerous other family and friends. After 25 years at the Packer, she couldn't stop helping others, and went to work at Woodbrook Adult Home for 5 years, before finally retiring to play bingo, her puzzle books, scratchies, newspapers, last but not least, her soap operas. In keeping with Barbara's wishes, she will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date and will be open to all family and friends. Interment will be in Fitzsimmons Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Those wishing may make online condolences at www.olthof.com.
