Anthony Granick Age 96, our Tony died peacefully at home on Thursday, October 17, 2019 with his loving wife of 35 years, Judy Granick at his side. He is survived by his step-daughter, Judy (Stan) Goble living in Florida; step-sons, James (Wendy), William (Mary) and Bruce (Tammy) Taft all living in the Elmira, NY area; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Emily (Henry) Drake and family, and Mary Lou Marvin and family; along with several nieces and nephews. Tony was predeceased by his sisters, Ann Nevins, Marion Petrochko and Margaret Wills; brothers, Paul, Peter and Joe Granick. Serving our country, his (MO) was a tail gunner in a B-17 with the 365 fighter group serving 2 terms from 1942 - 1945 in WW II. A loving, hard working, ever busy, who found time to design and build 2 homes and MG (car) from scratch, adding his own personal touches, of course. A member of the American Legion Post # 0443; member of the HUD Disaster Team; retired from American LaFrance as a foreman. A rare and loving personality of strong will and soft heartedness will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Funeral services honoring his life will follow the visitation, with his step-son-in-law, Stanley Goble offering the Eulogy. Interment will take place on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 1:00 pm in Maple Grove Cemetery Horseheads, NY where the Chemung Veteran's Honor Guard will accord Military Honors to Mr. Granick.
