Anne Kelly Martin

Beaver Dams- Anne K. Martin, 65, went to be with the lord on April 5, 2023, at home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 11, 1957, in Elmira Heights to Robert E. And Irene G. (Kies) Kelly.

Anne is survived by her husband, Theodore Martin; sister Agnes Didomenico of Hilton NY, brother Neil Kelly of Spencer NY; daughters, Leigh Correia and her husband Aaron of Fort Lewis WA, Kelly Sullivan and her husband Tom of Vestal NY; and grandchildren, Irene, Thomas and Amelia Sullivan; stepdaughters Kim Smith and husband Kirk of Beaver Dams NY, and Deb Clark and husband Greg of Burdette NY.

Anne graduated from Thomas Edison High School in 1976 and then earned a degree in drafting from Alfred State in 1978.

From there she started her first job at Shepard Niles Engineering Department where she eventually met her husband, happily married for 32 years. Following her first battle with cancer, Leukemia in 1989 , she then started her own certified WBE business, All Points CAD Drafting, in 1993 which she successfully ran for 23 years. While in that business Anne was able to work on many community projects, alongside many different local industries and people.

In addition to her drafting business, Anne was also a bus driver for the Horseheads School District. Anne loved being a driver and “her kids” during her driving years.

Anne was also an avid quilter, hosting quilting sessions at her home. She also enjoyed the horse races and occasional gambling at Tioga Downs, wildlife watching from her dining room windows, and traveling to see her daughters but mostly loved spending time with her grandkids.  She was also a communicant of Tompkins Corners Country Church.

In 2016 Anne was then diagnosed with breast cancer, halting her very busy lifestyle. While these last 7 years have been very hard she never quit. Those who know Anne knew she fought hard for a very long time. Her determination, support, and advice will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Services will be held on April 22, 2023 at Tompkins Corners Country Church on Chambers Road, Horseheads NY. Calling hours from 10-12; Service at 12:30.

In lieu of flowers, Anne asked that you attend a Sunday service at the Tompkins Corner Country Church, and donate when the plate is passed.
