Andrew “Jack” Gotham, 89, born August 5, 1928 in Ogdensburg, NY, the son of the late Charles and Marjorie Gotham, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Fred and Harriette Taylor Health Center with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, Jolina “Jo” Pealer Gotham; sister, Dorothy Longwell and brother, Ivan Gotham. Jack is survived by his loving sons, David (Kathy) Gotham, of Kannapolis, NC, and Dana Gotham, Wellsburg, NY; brother, Charles Gotham of Lowville, NY; grandchildren: Melanie (Jason) Emory, Jay (Nina) Gotham, Robert (Cesaria "Sarah") Gotham; great grandsons, Oliver Gotham, Brandon Fullagar and Ethan Emory; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jack was a former Justice of the Peace and Counsel man for the Town of Ashland. He worked most of his life at E. M. Pfaff & Son as a skilled cabinet maker. Jack was an avid hunter, fisherman, and he enjoyed travelling with Jo in his early retirement years. He was a devoted family man who will be dearly missed. A memorial service in honor of Jack’s life will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 3pm at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Horseheads, NY.
