Alice E. Greenleaf

Greenleaf, Alice E. Formerly of Elmira Age 91, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001 at Elcor Health Services in Horseheads. Born April 30, 1910 in Galeton, PA she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Ellen Moses Boyd. Surviving are; her daughter, Mary Patricia ?Patty? Greenleaf of Elmira. A sister-in-law, Genevieve ?Genny? Steinhilper of Owego. Nieces, Barbara Alderman of Owego and Shirley Reese of Greensboro, NC. A nephew Bob Boyd of Endwell. She was predeceased by her 5 brothers and sisters. Alice was a member of the Elmira Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was a graduate of the Peabody Music Conservatory, Baltimore, MD. She taught music at the Maryland School for the Blind in Baltimore, MD. She was the Organ Player and Choir Director at the United Brethren Church in Baltimore, MD. Alice played piano and organ for many of the area churches here in Elmira. She will always be remembered for her helping and caring ways and she will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Family and friends are invited to call Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001 from 2 to 3 PM at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira. Funeral and committal services will be held there following the calling hour at 3 PM. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira at the convenience of the family.
