Alfred P. Wilkes Sr. ?Al? Age 86, of Sayre, PA formerly of Gillett, PA passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2002 at the Bradford County Manor.Al, as he was affectionately known, is survived by: his wife of 60 years; Mary B. Wilkes, son; Alfred P. Wilkes Jr. (Jane) of Gillett, PA, daughter; Lorraine (George) Hill of Elmira, NY, son Keith (Susan) Wilkes of Brunswick, ME, daughter; Suzanne (Craig) Materne of Watsontown, PA, 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 niece and 1 nephew.Al was predeceased by his sister, Florence Turnball.He was the office manager for the Railroad Retirement Board in Elmira, NY for 30 years.He was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church for many years and served as a Deacon.Al also taught the S.O.S. Sunday school class for many years.After retirement, Al and Mary enjoyed spending their winters in Naples, FL.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Thursday, May 9, 2002 from 6 to 8pm and on Friday, May 10, 2002 from 11 to 11:30am.The funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Friday.The Rev.
